A Kyanja-based cultural foundation preserving wood carving, nurturing artists, and using sculpture as a catalyst for social change.

Founded to Preserve Sculpture
Dr. Lilian Mary Nabulime is an academic, sculptor, and community advocate. With a deep understanding of Uganda's social and cultural landscape, she founded the I.M. Nabulime Foundation to bridge the gap between potential and opportunity for communities across Uganda.
The foundation trains and nurtures artists and well-wishers who appreciate the fundamentals of wood carving sculpture, while integrating diverse materials, mixed media, conservation, and social practice.
Art is treated here as a powerful social catalyst: a way to preserve skill, protect natural resources, and open public dialogue.Get in Touch
